TWISTED SISTER’S TWISTED CHRISTMAS
NOKIA THEATER, NEW YORK
DECEMBER 6, 2009

New York’s own Twisted Sister played a rocking Christmas show at Times Square’s Nokia Theater on Sunday night December 6. Dee Snider, JJ French, Mark Mendoza, Eddie Ojeda and AJ Pero, in other words all the original members take the stage in this Holiday themed concert hosted by Santa himself. The show is a mix of heavy metaled out Christmas songs with of course the classic Twisted Sister songs we all love to pump our fists to.
In full costume lead singer Dee Snider gets led on stage by four sexy reindeer in his sleigh from hell! He then rips into the hardest version of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” you will ever hear. Dee as I said before is dressed up as jolly old St. Nick and hands out candy canes to get everyone into the Christmas spirit. The hard rock versions of some of the Christmas classics like “Silver Bells” and their own version of the “12 Days of Christmas” sounded great. They rocked hard and were actually a cool new way of hearing these songs.
“You Can’t Stop Rock and Roll”, “The Price” and “I Wanna Rock” again all sounded the way they were supposed be heard, loud and heavy! Constantine Maroulis from the Broadway play Rock of Ages joined the band during the encore for their version of “I’ll be Home for Christmas”. The night ended when the band invited 20 of New York’s Bravest to join them on stage for “We’re not Gonna Take It” and some of the worst and best air guitar moves were displayed as Twisted cranked out their signature hit.
