The Mets continue to thrive at home games as they have a league leading record of 24-10 at Citi-Field so far this season. The problem is they have an abismal 9-18 record away from home. But right now they are red hot after sweeping the Marlins last weekend, who have had the Mets number the past few seasons, they took two out of three from the Padres. Jonathan Niese pitched a one hitter allowing just a double in a 3-0 complete game shut out, a lift the Mets have been looking for all season. R.A Dickey followed that gem with another beating the hapless Orioles 5-1 striking out a career high 8 batters on Friday June 11. Don't look now but the Mets have won 6 of 7 and now if they can get a couple of wins in Baltimore they head over to Cleveland for three games before playing the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. At 33-28 most Met fans have to be happy with the way the team is playing so let's hope that they continue to play exciting winning baseball.
